Course Description: 

Abacus Sports Installations will present today’s options in resilient sports and medical floor systems and the safety benefits associated with each. We will explain the use of recycled rubber products and how it benefits consumers. We’ll instruct on safe sub-base preparation and how to address moisture and mercury problems to ensure the well being of contractors and owners.  We will review the key metrics to consider when selecting the proper sports/medical floor system in order to provide the safest and healthiest user environment.  Attendees will learn the proper maintenance and inspection programs to effectively comply with manufacturers warranties and provide a long lasting and safe floor system.

Course Description:

A Comparison of Pad and Pour Flooring and Other Flooring Systems  We will present/introduce different kinds of resilient sports and medical floors. We will explain the difference of poured urethane wood and pad and pour sandwich systems and how it benefits consumers.  We’ll explain the difference between seamless and rolled flooring.  We will explain the difference between ball rebound, force reduction and range of resilience. We will explain the safety effects of resilient flooring; identify important considerations when selecting the right flooring surface.  We’ll answer any questions that you have in the flooring industry concentrating on safety of the consumer, longevity of the product and cost of the project.  After attending this presentation, participants will be able to better understand the benefits of resilient sports flooring. After attending this presentation, participants will be able to correctly specify the right sports floor. After attending this presentation, participants will be able to understand different safety attributes of different sports surfaces. After attending this presentation, participants will be able to maintain sports floors so that they perform and sustain.

Large Animal Zoo/Equine Flooring Systems

Course Description:

Abacus Sports Installations will present current large animal flooring systems and how they contribute to the well-being of animals in regards to such factors as resiliency, easy cleaning, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, non-slip, seamlessness, fatigue reduction and sound absorption.  We’ll discuss substrate preparation and how to address the problems associated with moisture and contaminants to ensure animal safety and floor system longevity.  We will explain the best practices for safe drainage design and maintenance practices so that each curator receives optimum floor performance and safety.
