Cleona Campmeeting

Preparation:

Campmeetings were a big part of religious life in 19th century America. The first Cleona Campmeeting was held in 1897 – and has continued every year since.

Cleona Campmeeting’s multipurpose Fellowship Center holds a gym, dining hall, kitchen, and classrooms all in one place. In 2019, its gym floor needed to be replaced. The campmeeting was looking to reflect the multi-functionality of the building itself in the floor – so they chose Robbins Pulastic.

Installation:

This floor is no ordinary gym floor – it features lines not only for basketball and volleyball, but floor hockey and four square as well.

The floor hockey lines include four faceoff circles and two goal creases on either end of the court. The four square lines fit neatly into the volleyball court – and the whole floor works together well for any sport they want to play.
