Preparation:
Franklin Towne Charter High School’s mission reads as follows:
“Franklin Towne Charter High School is a college preparation program willing to do whatever it takes to provide a warm and encouraging, family-like atmosphere for all of our students.”
FTCHS lies right along the Delaware River in Philadelphia, and serves students from the Northeast area of the city. It was founded in 1999, but one of its campus buildings has been around since the War of 1812.
As a growing school focuses on its students, FTCHS soon found it was time to upgrade its gym floor.
Installation:
Abacus came in and installed Pulastic for FTCHS. This floor was unique – truly unlike anything we had done before.
To start: its colors (dark blue and light blue combo with white and yellow game lines) fits FTCHS’ brand perfectly. Secondly, a mezzanine track runs around the court from above, which was also installed with Pulastic flooring material.
The view from mezzanine track down is really neat, and the way the entire project came together makes it one of the projects we’re most proud of.
